Jakob Hansen - Managing Director

Though Nobis Hotel Copenhagen will be distinctly Danish and Scandinavian in style and atmosphere, it will also be a very international hotel in its service offering. Managing Director Jakob Hansen was recruited for his vast international experience. Hansen moved back to his hometown Copenhagen in 2015 after more than two decades of working for luxury hotels in Paris, London and New York, most importantly as General Manager for some of Firmdale’s hotels.

”My career in these cities has been so intense that I never had time to look back or reflect,” Jakob Hansen says. ”This is why I decided to move back to Copenhagen. This new challenge with Nobis Hotel Copenhagen will be a great second chapter for me — a chance to make a difference in the industry again. I think that Copenhagen, like Stockholm, is a city where you can both live a regular life with the people you surround yourself with and at the same time engage in the showtime that an international luxury hotel is and should be. This isn’t really possible in the major metropolises of the world. We have the best of two worlds here in Scandinavia. We should be inspired by the major cities but never imitate them.”
